Not at all required. Gallery is a separate app. It is pointless to have everything crammed in. People already use other gallery viewers. Majority use Photos app by google or other famous ones like Quicpic. Pointless. Same goes to built-in Audio, video players.

It's make it easy to organize the photos and delete the double ones.A filter option with name, date and size would be great to.
